About our products

What are net carbs?

Net carbs are digestible carbs-carbs that are absorbed by the body. To determine net carbs, subtract the amount of fiber from the total carbohydrates.

Are Fiber Gourmet products kosher?

Yes, all of our products are kosher certified. Most products are OU Pareve except for mac and cheese which is OU-D (Dairy)and the Thinables which are certified OU-D. The flour is certified Pareve by the CRC.

Are Fiber Gourmet products gluten-free?

Not at this time, but we are always working on new products! Be sure to sign up for our emails and follow us on Facebook and Instagram so you’ll be the first to know when new products launch.

What can I make with the flour?

Our high fiber flour works wonderfully for cakes, cookies, muffins, brownies, and the like. It is not recommended for bread-type products.

Why has the pasta cooking time changed?

Our pasta is now made in Italy. In Italy, flour is kneaded longer and dried slower. This helps the pasta stand up well to the rigors of cooking, allowing for a perfect "al dente" texture. If you prefer your pasta softer, please cook it a little bit longer. Also, make sure you are using enough water, since using too little water will stew instead of boiling the pasta.

What happened to the Hex Crackers and the linguine? I can no longer find them on the site.

Any products no longer on the website have been discontinued due to supply/manufacturing issues.
We apologize for the inconvenience this might cause, and hope you will continue to enjoy all of our other delicious Fiber Gourmet products.

If you are looking for linguine, we suggest you try our delicious spaghetti. We know you’ll love it.

If you are looking for the Hex Crackers, keep an eye out for some very exciting new products coming in soon!

How can I redeem a Gift Card?

At checkout, you will find a box that says "Discount code". Just enter the code you received by email and click Apply. The cart will refresh and reflect the amount as a discount.

Why do some boxes show a different calorie count?

The nutrition label might look different depending on the country where the product is being sold. If you are looking at the Canadian version, the caloric count will seem higher than the US version.

According to the US (and many other countries) the fiber we use is considered 0 calories. In Canada the fibre counts as 2 (not 0).

This makes it look like the Canadian product has more calories. It’s the same product, but different systems.

Please rest assured that the formulation is exactly the same and you can enjoy the same delicious flavor, wherever you are!

I have a product that is past the BBD printed on the box (or bag), should I throw it out?

Our products are marked with a Best by Date. The best by date (BBD) is the date in which a food product will have the best quality, taste, and nutritional value. However, if stored properly, our products will retain these qualities for several months after the date printed on the box. We are very conservative with these dates so that you always experience our products at their best.

BBD are not Expiration dates. Unlike expiration dates, products with BBD are safe to consume after the printed date. If a long time has gone by, the flavor or texture might be slightly different but it will not make you sick.

In the food industry, a product having a passed BBD does not trigger a sales ban, as opposed to a passed expiration date. Products close to or already passed their BBD are usually sold at a discount.
