We've received some feedback from our customers recently about damage occurring to the pasta during transit, in particular to the nested fettuccine as part of BYOB's or Samplers. I just wanted to let you know that we are aware of the issue and are taking some steps to correct it by changing our product configurations and packing supplies for the future. Apologies again, and do let is know if you received any damaged products.
Here's a gem from Fail Blog that seemed apropos:
And the numbers are good. On several counts.
First, I'd like to think the 1400 or so customers who bought a total of 1505 cases of crackers since we launched them last week. We actually already sold out of the mixed cases we had made up at the plant, so our fulfillment center is busy breaking apart whole cheese and nacho cases and turning them into mixed. This is a good problem to have :)
Next, we just got the laboratory analysis of the fiber content in the final production crackers in, and they're even better than we'd hoped. Fiber content has jumped from the (already impressive) 34.1% to a whopping 38.9%! That means the product you hold in your hand is nearly 40% fiber. Doesn't taste like it, does it?
With the new numbers, the fiber content in each bag actually climbs to around 12.5g, but who's counting? We're just ecstatic to see that we exceeded our own estimates.
Since the launch of the crackers last week, we've been getting a few questions which I thought I'd address on the blog (expect them to be integrated in the website later):
What's the shelf life on the crackers?
They're good until April of 2010. The date is stamped on each individual packet and box, as well.
Where can I buy the products listed on the 10-Minute Diet Plan on the side of the box (microwave cakes & pasta)?
Those products are still in development, but coming very soon (we hope!) stay tuned to our blog or sign up for e-mail updates to be notified when they become available.
Thanks for your interest, and keep the questions coming!
FiberGourmet is proud to announce its second high-fiber, low-calorie product line: Lite Snack Crackers! These indulgent snacks taste just like the Cheez-It's (or Cheese Nips) we all grew up on, but with literally half the calories (80 vs. 160 calories for a 32g serving).
Other 100-calorie packs on the market just cut the calories by giving you less food (a measly 21g is standard), leaving you hungry later. But since our crackers really are lower in calories, we can give you 32g of delicious snacking for just 80 calories. You get 50% more food for 20 calories less! And with an unprecedented 12g fiber (48% of Daily Value) in each pouch, you're sure to feel full longer.
See how we compare:
