Constant improvement, that's the name of the website game! Here's the latest:
There's also some minor changes all around, for instance on the Technology, Store List, Gift Basket pages. Check them out!
Congrats to the incredibly adorable Michelle*, the winner of our first photo contest! Looks like she loves that pasta :)

Our offices will be closed on Monday & Tuesday (6/9 & 6/10). We will re-open on Wednesday (6/11) and will ship all orders then. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As I said in my last post, we'll be exhibiting at this year's Fancy Food Show, in booth #6156. You can find more info at the NASFT website. Check out that mile long exhibitor list!
Anyway, it looks like it should be a fun show, and hopefully walking all around the cavernous three-floor buffet will mitigate the fact that it still is a three-floor buffet. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Thanks again to everyone who participated in our First Annual FiberGourmet Recipe Contest! Since that contest went so well, we've decided to run another one. Get your cameras ready for the FiberGourmet Photo Face-Off!
To enter, simply send us some picture involving FiberGourmet. It can be a candid picture (babies eating pasta are adorable), a beautifully prepared meal, a food-fight, something snarky involving our logo, or whatever else you come up with! Entries will be judged mostly on imagination, so put on those thinking caps. It doesn't have to be all fancy & artsy (though that certainly doesn't hurt). You can enter as many times as you like. Just send your entries to photos@fibergourmet.com.
The prize for this contest is interesting. We're going to be exhibiting at this year's Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in New York (June 29 - July 1). The show is basically a three-floor smorgasbord, where thousands of gourmet food companies from all over the world gather to show off their wares (us too, at booth #6156). For this contest we're giving away a free pass to the show! I don't think these passes have any cash value, but we'll make them out to whatever names you tell us. If you have friends or relatives in the NY area, it's a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Good luck! The contest ends June 9th.

Our recipe contest went so well, I think I'm going to call it the First Annual FiberGourmet Recipe Contest! We received dozens of entries, and everyone who participated should be receiving a little present in their e-mailbox. I'll also be posting all the recipes up on our recipe page in the next few days.
The contest was judged by my mother and sister, so if you didn't win please don't shoot the blog-messenger. They looked for a balance of simplicity and uniqueness, with extra points if you said something nice about the pasta :)
Without further ado, I'm pleased to congratulate Carmine O. Pellosie Jr. of Paterson, New Jersey, for his imaginative entry "Guilt Free Fettuccine Quick Sorta Soup"! Go buy some of our pasta snd give it a shot.
Thanks again to everyone who entered, and stay tuned for more contests coming soon...
UPDATE: Apologies to Carmine - that should have read "his imaginative entry". Sorry :o!
as you may know, the blogger behind the Half Of Me blog recently published a new book. When we heard she was running a book launch party, we got together with our friends over at a href="http://www.wellbaskets.com">WellBaskets and donated a healthy gift basket, which was given away as a prize at the party.
There are now some pictures from the party up on her blog. You should check it out; the Pasta Queen is always a hilarious read.
(And J, if you're reading this: Congrats again!)
Some of our more eagle-eyed customers noticed that the chocolate pasta has disappeared from the main site, although it's still mentioned on both the nutrition facts and recipes pages. So what happened?
As a somewhat "unique" flavor, Chocolate is not one of our best sellers. Don't get me wrong: It's good stuff, but it still makes up a smaller segment of the long tail. Since we go through it slower, we also produce it slower, usually only 1 pallet (48 cases / 576 bags) at a time.
When we made the move to the new warehouse, we happened to have been down to about 7 or 8 cases of chocolate. It was a pretty tight schedule getting the five main flavors produced and in stock (a lot of you may recall that painful week or two when we just weren't shipping anything), and scheduling a chocolate run just then would have been too much. We decided to temporarily eliminate the chocolate, at least until we send a new truckload up from Miami next month.
You should expect to see the chocolate back in a few weeks. I'll definitely post about it here when it's fully back. In the meantime, we still do have about 3 cases of chocolate left, so all you chocoholics out there can feel free to e-mail me and I'll hook you up on the side.
Thanks to everyone who asked for it, for letting us know the demand is out there!
If you picked up a copy of Dr. Gundry's Diet Evolution, turn to page 216 for a nice write-up about our pasta.

And if you haven't picked one up, you should. I've only had a chance to skim through my copy, but it's packed with good stuff, from interesting information about your genes, to great pasta recipes. Check it out!
I apologize for the inconvenience, but we will be closed next week due to the Passover holiday. Be sure to place your order this week if you need your pasta fix soon. After closing up on Friday, April 18th, we will not re-open again until Monday, April 28th.
Also, if you were relying on picking up the pasta at one of the many stores which carry our products, you might want to check that they aren't an exclusively kosher store. None of the kosher stores will be selling our pasta (or any pasta) during Passover.
